More on the Giant Trash Heap in the Pacific

This is a photograph of floating waste from the Pacific gyre. Tangled plastic, rope and various aquatic animals called a"ghost net" drifts in the Eastern Pacific Garbage Patch: a loose, free-floating trash heap that some estimates say is twice the size of Texas.

Go see the National Geographic report of the giant ocean trash vortex floating in the Pacific Ocean. There are similar reports of another in the Atlantic Ocean.
